Quality, Compliance & Continuous Improvement Manager

We are seeking a motivated Quality, Compliance & Continuous Improvement Manager. This position will be located in Williamsburg, IA, reporting to our Site Lead.
This position will lead and coordinate Quality, Stewardship Compliance, and Continuous Improvement processes/programs, including but not limited to, implementation of Manufacturing Production System (MPS) in Bayer Crop Science NA Product Supply. The successful candidate will implement and sustain these programs across Mainland Parent Seed Production, driving success through continuous improvements using Lean practices as cultural changes are taking place.
The role will coordinate Quality, Stewardship, Continuous Improvement/MPS by working closely with STL Quality team, Stewardship Compliance, Site Leadership Team, Implementation Task Force Team, Process Leads - Team Leads, Seed Techs, Seasonal Temps; Regional Implementation Lead, Global Implementation Lead, Continuous Improvement networks and Change Management / HR team ensuring systems and data are used to drive opportunities and one common standard through employee empowerment and a focus on customer needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Understanding of Bayer Crop Science Quality, QMS, Stewardship Compliance, Continuous Improvement, MPS implementation methodology, Lean content and change management approach to successfully sustain Quality/Compliance and Continuous Improvement/MPS implementation at site.
Demonstrated analytical and decision-making abilities

Ensure adequate training and competency evaluation of site personnel

Develop, review, facilitate site key performance indicators which provide a clear tracking system on manufacturing performance/quality/compliance and drive action focused on maintenance and sustainability of Continuous Improvement and Quality systems
Ensure adequate and timely communication at sites
Ensure both change and risk management requirements and tools are being addressed/utilized and coordinate efforts to implement and sustain continuous improvement and quality standards
Lead very strong Quality, Compliance and Continuous Improvement culture - both plant and field
Drive/facilitate/engage with appropriate on-site communication and networks providing process oversight across Quality and Continuous Improvement
Guide teams to evaluate improvements and prioritize implementation through tracking system
Network across other sites/crops/businesses, recommending best practices and articulating value to business coach/guide for on-site follow through and results on-site
Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Lean practices after the initial MPS implementation and facilitate the continuous improvement journey at the site
Guide Site Responsible Researchers (SRRs), ISO technicians, and all personnel as necessary to conduct audits, gain all external certifications and accreditations and assure adherence to Quality and Compliance policies, processes, and requirements.
Ensure Quality and Continuous Improvement efforts support customer centricity and a premium product delivered to the marketplace in partnership with seed production management, engineering, innovations, & IT
Champion a Quality and compliance-driven culture
Clear focus on quality and production systems concepts pulling the capabilities of all quality teams and ITFs, driving the results (i. e. 5S, Visual Management Board)
Spend time on shop floor, connecting with current processes/opportunities
Empowering by coaching from inside out asking open ended questions to trigger the thinking
Clearly articulate value of current and future work, always focusing on adding value instead of adding tasks
Utilize intuition and emotional intelligence to assure site culture is adapting
Lead and influence efforts for standardization & simplification
Stay connected with external network to learn and reapply Quality teams, Implementation leaders, other Continuous Improvement leaders
Coach the language (Lean language) create visible changes
Critical Skills
Knowledge of Quality, Compliance and Continuous Improvement/MPS

Required Skills/Experience
Degree in agriculture, engineering disciplines, supply chain, business, management or any related field
At least 4 years experience in manufacturing and or seed agricultural
Experience in leading, developing, and influencing
Skilled at leading, managing conflict and negotiating with cross-functional teams
Demonstration of courage, candor and initiative skills
Coaching / mentoring group facilitation skills
Strong communication skills (written and oral open, honest and persistent)
Understanding of plant operations
Focus on delivering safety, quality/compliance, service, cost Ability to plan, execute and measure business benefits (master planning)
Leadership capability to bring out the best in teams through empowerment
Ability to work well cross functionality/ cross crops
Ability to influence and communicate across matrix and with multiple levels of leadership
Opinion leader among peers and team, key influencer
Open and capable of leading new and unconventional ideas and approaches

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
