Registered Nurse (RN) - Long Term Care (LTC) - Part Time

Overview Presbyterian Homes & Services - Highland Ridge in Williamsburg, Iowais seeking Registered Nurses to join our Long Term Care team.
As a Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in caring for older adults- not only physically, but emotionally, socially, mentally, and spiritually.

SCHEDULE/HOURS: Every weekend Nights (Friday and Saturday night) REPORTING STRUCTURE: The RN reports directly to the Clinical Coordinator or Clinical Administrator as designated at the site.
The RN supervises the work of LPNs, Medication Assistants and Resident Assistants in the community on his/her assigned shift.
Responsibilities The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the provision and monitoring of high quality clinical care and services to residents consistent with regulations and established clinical best practices.
o Follow the steps of the nursing process: Assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care based upon regulations and established clinical best practices.
o Perform nursing techniques for the comfort and well-being of each resident.
o Maintain all required documentation in accordance with regulations and established clinical best practices.
o Coordinate clinical care with other health care professionals inside and outside PHS.
o Maintain a work environment for employees conducive to high productivity and morale.
Maintain effective communication systems with employees.
o Assist in the orientation of new team members as assigned.
o Manage the performance of assigned staff under your supervision.
Coach and assist staff to achieve desired outcomes and individual development.
Qualifications Registered Nurse with current licensure with the State Board of Nursing in state(s) in which he/she practices.
Current CPR certification.
Interest in gerontological nursing, rehabilitative and restorative clinical practices.
Demonstrated compatibility with PHS's mission and operating philosophies.
Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all customers.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
