Summary:
The Staff Pad is honored to partner with a top university in Iowa that is seeking an MBCU staff nurse.
This position has a 17 bed unit dedicated to the care of antepartum & postpartum patients.
Antepartum patients may require hospitalization for preterm labor, diabetes, high blood pressure, or bleeding concerns among other conditions and are monitored closely using external fetal monitoring.
Postpartum patients reside here during their recovery from vaginal or Cesarean deliveries.
Parents and newborns are cared for together and may receive a variety of support services such as lactation visits, circumcisions, social work consults, medical imaging, and hearing testing.
Electronic infant security is utilized and nutritional support for the unit is received by the Mother's Milk Bank of Iowa.
