3 Quick Apply 1 day ago Full Job Description Kinze is currently seeking a 2nd shift quality technician to join our manufacturing team in Williamsburg, IA.
Our quality technicians are responsible for performing random product audits for in-process and finished goods.
POSITION DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Performs product audits on goods in process or finished goods, where results are compared with company quality standards.
Reports results to department Supervisor who will make an analysis and take necessary action.
Visually inspects product for apparent defects.
Performs detailed visual inspection to determine product quality where limits are not clearly defined.
Quarantines defective products and communicates effectively.
Notifies department Supervisor when inspection data exceeds acceptable limits or when major incidents of poor quality are noted.
Records results on inspection forms or charts and reports the number of defects found.
Posts and maintains forms and charts of inspection data, quality levels, or special quality studies.
Makes recommendation of disposition of questionable product to Quality Manager.
Responsible for effectively and respectfully communicating with all departments and Management.
Responsible for investigating quality issues and assisting in problem-solving.
Responsible for effectively managing time and tasks in an organized and efficient manner.
Responsible for working effectively in a group environment and contributing to a common goal.
Performs other duties as assigned.
High School or technical school education, or equivalent, with communication emphasis CQA - Certified Quality Auditor (Preferred) 3 years varied shop experience on machining, fabrication, welding & assembly Strong blue print/work instruction reading skills.
Considerable mental and visual effort.
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Quality skills - measuring & process related.
Some technical/analytical abilities.
Dexterity and preciseness required to operate gauges and testing equipment.
